Developer
Volunteer will assist in developing the technical ASP applications
necessary to complete the automation of the CCID Project driving three
affiliated web sites using one online interactive SQL7 database on
one dedicated server. There are several required applications among
other relative applications in the technical abstract at this time.
This is a virtual volunteer position. Volunteer will need advanced

Architect or Architectural Draftsman
Volunteer will prepare construction-ready blueprints for an alternative,
affordable, accessible, flexible, universally designed 5 unit module
concept apartment design to house either: (A) 4 elderly and/or disabled
occupants in 570 square foot each apartment units as an innovative
substitute for the traditional nursing home construction method or
(B) convertible design can be a 2,850 square foot single owner-occupied
family house design by using universal design, sliding panels, fold

Problem-solving computer technical software & hardware problems
of donated Pentium computers. Installing memory, sound card, 56 BPS

Volunteer to draft a national marketing business plan that will include:
1. creating mailing materials to solicit donations or grants 2. creating
a company brochure 3. initiating contacts with potential donors or

'Recycle Liaison' - Dallas Only
Computer 'Recycle Liaison' will devote at least one hour per week
or about four hours per month contacting potential donor company managers.
Volunteers explain how CCID's Dallas Computer Refurbishing Project
can recycle unused company computers. Unemployed Technology Professionals
are being offered job interviews by IT Directors because the IT Directors
see the Volunteer as a 'community-minded' and 'socially conscious'
Volunteer representing a non-profit organization in soliciting donated
unused computer equipment. The quality of the Volunteer as a self-starter
sometimes creates a job interview for a future job opening that has
not even been posted. Volunteer to also pick up PC hardware periodically
upon request. Volunteer to regularly contact IT Directors or other
corporate contacts with responsibility (Potential Donors) for possible
computer donations to CCID's Dallas Computer Refurbishing Program
for disAbled and disAdvantaged individuals. This position requires
a volunteer with their own transportation, a current valid Texas driver's
license, and current minimum state required automobile liability insurance.

Computer Technical Support
This position requires volunteer to answer technical support questions
from disAbled and disadvantaged individuals who have received a low-cost
refurbished computer. Primarily via email but possibly some one-to-one
meeting to resolve difficult technical problems. Position requires
a working knowledge of Windows 98, anti-virus software, Juno email,
and Zone Alarm firewall software. Knowledge of installing, operating

Computer Lab Installer - DALLAS ONLY
Setup and install 4 donated computers as a computer lab in non-profit
agencies, churches, nutrition centers, or senior citizen centers to
provide computer-literacy using CD ROM and online free tutorials to
agency clients, church members, and disABLED or disadvantaged individuals
referred by CCID. Responsibilities will include identifying and gathering
needed equipment needed to install a computer lab including: outlining
the computer lab Network design, cabling, Power Connect 10/100 Mbps
switches, NIC's, hubs, Internet access, and any other special interface
switches. This position requires a working knowledge of installing
networks, pulling cabling, connecting hubs, and finishing the network
for a four computer lab with a dial up ISP account to access the Internet.[Volunteer

Volunteer will attend local free JOB FAIRS, VOLUNTEER FAIRS, local
festivals, flea markets and some shopping Malls that provide non-profit
groups free booths to provide Free Member information and recruit
disAbled and disadvantaged persons for CCID Membership, which includes
a free home-based Internet business. Prior Public Relations or Customer
Service experience required. This is an ongoing both physical and

Volunteer to facilitate a 'peer-support micro-enterprise' group as
an innovative demonstration project to positively address the economic
issues of the disAbled, disAdvantaged, and unemployed communities.
Project will be called 'BOOTSTRAPS UNLIMITED' and will include a 13
week study course held weekly in DFW scattered-site locations for
8 participants, I social worker/counselor, & 1 facilitator in
90 minute sessions. Weekly group meetings will enable group graduates
to build a cohesive peer support group to enable each participant
to determine the best self-employment option suitable for their specific
skills, interest, and aptitude. The goal of each 13 week study group
will be assisting each participant to draft a business plan and feasibility
study leading toward a micro-enterprise business and possibly a SBA
loan that will facilitate more economic independence via their own
home-based business. Prefer former business owners interested in assisting
motivated individuals to build their own home-based business. Long-term
goal is for 'BOOTSTRAPS UNLIMITED' project to be possibly grant funded
